Low-rise Residential Project
In collaboration with a Japanese studio, we developed a 54,000 square meter residential development project with the best technical and economic performance. It was our first experience of developing a master plan for an entire complex of buildings; we carefully worked out the urban planning documentation and considered all the restrictions related to the terrain on the site.
Japanese architects were able to avoid the cliché of low-rise residential buildings by creating a concept of blocks and nests. According to it, the complex consists of 8 blocks of 16 nests in each. “Nest” consists of three or four houses on two or three floors each; in the center, there is an “oasis” – a green area with space for recreation.
